Genene’s education is in hospitality and business and she is a member of both the local chapter and national chapter of the Club Manager’s Association of America. She has been in the private club business for over 20 years, including many years at Highland Meadows. Genene takes this comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the industry to guide and manage her staff. So that together they are able to deliver an overall outstanding member experience. Seeing members having a great time at their club never fails to bring a smile to her face. In addition, she is also focused on improving the quality of the facility while maintaining a fiscally sound operation. This allows Highland to become the vehicle that provides value and an optimal environment for members to spend that precious time with family and friends.

As of June 2015, Greg is the new superintendent at Highland Meadows Golf Club. He is originally from Flint, Michigan and has resided there the majority of his life. He is a 1999 graduate of Michigan State University with a B.S. degree in crop and soil sciences with an emphasis on agronomy. He was also an Evans Scholar while at MSU, a full scholarship made available to caddies at clubs around the country.

 

Upon graduating, Greg accepted a 2nd assistant superintendent position at Oakland Hills Country Club, where he worked for two years. He then became an assistant superintendent at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club for two years. Greg accepted his first superintendent’s position at The Captains Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan. He spent nine and a half years at Captains Club before taking the same position at Indianwood Golf and Country Club in Lake Orion, Michigan.

 

The goal of the HMGC maintenance is to allow you to enjoy your time at the club and your rounds while on the course. Greg is looking forward to continuing the tradition of this great golf club.

Lisa is always available to answer food service, club event, and banquet questions, as well as schedule and execute special events and the Club’s member social events. She truly enjoys using her creative side and attention to detail to make each event here at the Meadows special. Since Lisa spends a great deal of time at work, everyone really is like family to her. She looks forward to seeing the members and making them feel welcome at their club. Lisa takes great pride in her serving staff that have on numerous occasions have received positive comments from the members that range from personalized service, friendliness, and willingness to accommodate the members, to wow – they remembered our names and what we drink. Customer satisfaction and keeping members coming back is her primary goal. Lisa has a degree in Food Service Management, has taken several CMAA classes, and has gained much experience from the school of hard knocks! She has worked in the food service industry for over 40 years.

Jared has been cooking with his mother since he was nine and instantly fell in love with preparing tasty dishes in the kitchen. He came to Highland from the Inverness Club where he served as sous chef, alongside many great chefs, for 5 years. He is well educated in the field with a Maumee Valley ACF membership and a degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. These experiences along with his love for the business have prepared him for his position as Highland’s Executive Chef.

Being a kid at heart, Bill is no stranger to knowing what brings joy to the youth and families at HMGC. He has been in education for over 46 years and has been part of team at Highland for over 40 years. Bill and his friendly staff operate a safe pool that provides the perfect location for fun and relaxation in the sun for adults and kids of all ages! Bill has engaged the Club’s youth with such programs as swim team, water ballet, summer reading, dance, and art. The future success of all children has been a huge part of Bill’s life and that is why these programs not only provide fun for the kids and but work to instill and inspire important values like friendship, respect and responsibility.

Beth grew up locally and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Sienna Heights University. She has worked in public accounting for several years and as an office manager in the Toledo area for over 15 years before joining the HMGC management team. Melissa is dedicated to growing and maintaining the membership at HMGC through communication of the quality member experience at the Meadows. She has been a part of the Highland team since 2004 and is a member of the Professional Club Marketing Association. Melissa shares the Clubs passion for creating lasting relationships, upholding family values, and preserving the integrity of such a long-standing private club. She has a degree in Interior Design and enjoys using her creative energies when designing the Club’s newsletter and creating membership promotions and incentives.
